3D Cell Culture

Three dimensional (3D) cell cultures are artificially-created environments in which cells are permitted to grow or interact with their surroundings in a 3D fashion.

3D cell cultures improve the function, differentiation and viability of cells and recapitulate in vivo microenvironment compared to conventional 2D cell cultures. 3D matrices provide a physiologically relevant screening platform, by mimicking the in vivo responses, for many cell types including cancer and stem cells in developmental morphogenesis, pharmacology, drug metabolism and drug toxicity studies.

VitroGel® Hydrogels from TheWell Bioscience
A xeno-free system is key for 3D cell culture in clinical applications. The VitroGel® Hydrogel enables high-throughput capable processing to establish 3D organotypic models from both cell lines and patient-derived cells. The hydrogel system can also be used as an injectable delivery system for better cell retention and higher cell viability for cell therapy.  VitroGel is neutral in pH and no cross-linking agent is required.

VitroINK® from TheWell Bioscience
VitroINK is a family of the ready-to-use, xeno-free tunable bioink system that requires no UV, no temperature/pH curing, or chemical cross-linking. The system is ready-to-use at room temperature, neutral in pH, and has excellent visibility after printing and cell culture. Due to the unique shearthinning and rapid recovery mechanical property, VitroINK can maintain the printed structure without UV or other special curing methods.

3-D Life Biomimetic Hydogels from Cellendes
The 3-D Life product line represents a most flexible hydrogel system for biomimetic hydrogel design, from pre-configured gels to single components for individual gel compositions. The 3-D Life system consists of two polymers that form a hydrogel by covalent crosslinking at ambient temperature.
